Vitamin K2 helps direct calcium (absorbed via vitamin D) into bones and away from arteries.
Vitamin D increases calcium absorption. Without adequate K2, calcium may deposit in arteries instead of bones.
Consider taking vitamin K2 (MK-7) alongside vitamin D, especially at higher vitamin D doses. A common ratio is 100mcg K2 per 5,000 IU vitamin D.
